Resource Room gives us a once-a-week classroom feel

A structured day program and tutoring center we use for the subjects that go better with a real classroom rhythm and someone other than mom at the front.

We're mostly at-home, but two mornings a week we drive over for the structured program — desks, a schedule, a different adult voice.

Not everything needs to happen at our kitchen table

It's a paid program, but for the one kid who needs outside structure to take a subject seriously, it's been worth it.

He'll accept correction from his tutor in a way he never will from me. I stopped taking that personally.

What made this one special

My middle-schooler will accept correction from his tutor here in a way he never will from me. Worth the drive alone.
